Testimonials > Adoptive Families > Bryan & Wendy

Being parents seemed so distant to Bryan and I when we found out we could not have biological children. We immediately turned to the adoption option. After being referred to A Labor of Love Adoptions through a friend, Tina Tyra immediately started working with us on what we needed to do to get the ball rolling. Once we signed on with A Labor of Love Adoptions, it seemed like time went so slow as we waited to be matched and placed with a baby. Tina Tyra constantly assured us that the right situation would come along and we would get our baby.

We waited about six months when we got matched up with our first birth mother. Unfortunately, things did not work out with her and we had to move forth and wait to be matched up again. We received constant guidance from A Labor of Love Adoptions through this hard time. Within a month, we were matched up again. We met our birth mother and her family a week later and immediately bonded with her. Our baby boy was to be born about three months later.

Our birth mother allowed us to be involved in her pregnancy and even allowed me to be her Lamaze partner. Although there was a 3-hour drive involved, it was "A Labor of Love" for me to make the drive weekly. I was able to be close with our birthmom and our son.

Things worked out so well for us. You really do get the baby that is meant to be yours. We got to be present at the birth of our son and my husband actually got to cut the cord. Our birth mother is our "Angel." I felt like a piece of me was taken away when we parted ways at the hospital. We still keep in touch and I send pictures of Brendon so she can see the handsome boy he is becoming.

A big "Thank You" goes to Tina and A Labor of Love Adoptions for all they have done for us. Our family is our life and they have completed it!
