Testimonials > Adoptive Families > Jerry & Pam Dear Prospective Parents, After undergoing numerous medical procedures and a lot of emotions, my husband and I decided to close the door on medical technology to build our family and open the door to adoption. Wow! Were we in for the ride of our lives! We started with letters and phone calls to resources and even the state agencies that supposedly have so many little ones in need of parents. Weeks went by before I opened up the phone book and came across Tina's ad. It was a Saturday, so I expected to leave a message and receive a call back on Monday or so. Tina answered! After quickly telling our dreams to this ''stranger'', she calmly said, "Sure, I can help you. I'll get a packet out to you.'' That weekend my husband and I tried to contain our jubilant enthusiasm with cautiousness. What if we didn't get chosen by a birthmother? What if this was all too good to be true? We knew we didn't want to wait years. After a rollercoaster of hopes and emotions, we were matched with the perfect birthmother eleven months later! Our beautiful son was born approximately 90 days following that initial phone call with the birth mother. We were able to spend more than a week with our baby's birthmother before that life-changing, beautiful day. Now, we had it all...a family! There could never be a better situation for us. Our journey took 14 months and 2 days from that first call to Tina. Watching with pride as our son took his first steps at 10 months old, my husband and I looked at each other and thought, ''Could we do it again?'' It would be great to raise two together. Both of us were raised with siblings. I called Tina and told her, ''Don't laugh! We're ready for you to find us Baby #2.'' Tina again said calmly, ''Okay!'' Five months passed with no ''bites''. Had we asked for too much? Daily, we checked our messages on the answering machine the second we would get home. One night, I quickly went to the machine to see ''0''--no messages. I turned and glanced at the fax machine and noticed a page with a smiley face and the signature, Tina. Our second baby was about to be born in two months! Though it didn't matter whether we had another boy, this one was a girl. Tina helped us through some TOUGH times as we built our family. This "stranger" ended up being a dear friend who helped make our dreams come true! She is a professional who stays calm during the tough times and always has both the prospective parents and birthparents concerns in mind. We wish you well on your journey to parenthood. Sincerely, The very busy,
